What to do! What to do?!!!

I must say that I am touched beyond words that I have received such a response to my blog going private. Not only did I have no idea that anybody still followed my blog, but the emails I have received, as well as the comments, show that I have a loving and dedicated kinship with so many people all over the world! I have received more emails than I can count, and I have been reading through them whenever I have a free moment to do so. I am overwhelmed and humbled that so many of you care about me, and Boxer, and Angel, and I feel so honored that several of you have shared your own stories with me, and given me the most wonderful reasons as to why you feel a connection with myself and my children.

Now the question is...what to do! Blogger only allows me to have 100 followers if I turn my blog private. I have received hundreds of requests. To sit here and try to pick and choose whom to allow into my blog is extremely difficult, as many of the emails and responses I have received have not only brought tears to my eyes, but a warmth to my heart that I haven't felt in a very long time. I'm currently researching other sites to blog on, in an attempt to let each and every one of you to share the next chapter of mine & Boxer's life; however, my attempts are leading me to dead ends.

So, as the title of this post says...WHAT TO DO!??

I promise to keep you updated. And yes, I am still reading the emails I have received. What a honor to be cared for by so many!

In other news, next week is Boxer and Angel's 2nd birthday. I cannot believe it has been 2 years since I gave birth to my miracles. It feels like just yesterday. Boxer is doing fantastic, and I know that the spirit of Angel is helping her...and I...to thrive as best as we can. I love my daughter more than anything in this world, and miss my son more than words can express. Just thought I'd let everyone know that the little girl who was given "less than 1% chance" to live is about to turn 2 years old, and is the most beautiful, intelligent, wonderful being I have ever had the pleasure of loving.

I'll be back as soon as I can figure out what to do with the blog..and if anyone has any suggestions...they would be greatly appreciated!

Try looking into Wordpress. I know they have a decent setup in regards to private blogging.

Thinking of you!!

Start a whole new blog and only give out the URL directly in email to those that want to follow you. (Including me ;-)

You could change your name(s) and your louse of a "husband" wouldn't be able to easily find it.

Hugs,
Polly

Wordpress. I can password protect some posts and not others. It's really nice.

i'd say wordpress also,
you can password protect the posts and just give out the passwords to those you want! and i believe it's limitless

I saw this one time on how to password protect in Blogger. I saved it for a rainy day - maybe you can use it.

PS - that would be if you wanted to keep THIS blog and not have to abandon it and start all over.

Another vote for wordpress. You can password protect each post, and you can import this blog to the new one so you don't lose anything.

I was going to suggest wordpress, too. Good luck deciding!!

I concur with Wordpress too! But no matter where you go and who you let into your inner blog world, know that we all love you and are rooting for you and that 1% miracle you've got running around there! Much love to all of you.

Coming out of the woodwork, I have followed your story since you were on bedrest with Angel and Boxer. I like the wordpress suggestion too. You could always make your blog public over there and then just password protect certain (or all) posts that you want to keep private. You just need to email the password to whoever you want to have it, no limit. Just a thought!

I'm so glad the world has pulled together to show you how much love for you and your Boxer girl and Angel boy there is out there. Keep us posted as to what comes next (no great advice here on what to do with the blog, Blogger is about as sophisticated as I get with this stuff!). Sending you lots of hugs and birthday wishes to your sweet Boxer and her guardian Angel.

I was so sadden to hear you were going to go private. I first heard about you and your situation when a great group of girls of FF organized some goodies for you when Boxer was born. I have followed and prayed for you since. I wish you nothing but joy from here on. You deserve to enjoy your life with your beautiful daughter. May God bless you.

Wordpress. Seems to be very popular. My BFF uses it.

I would hate to see you disappear. I, too, have been following you since your pregnancy and was part of care packages sent your way. We were all rooting you and your kiddos on!

I can't believe it's been almost 2 years. Just blows my mind. I have followed your blog ever since I met you on the April 2009 FF board. I went back to the beginning and read your whole story. I have so enjoyed your sarcastic sense of humor throughout all the rain. I cried with you when your water broke and I logged in every single day to check on you and your babies. I mourned with you when Angel died. I have so loved your updates on little miss Boxer, watching her born as this incredibly tiny little baby with all the odds stacked against her - and look at her now! She is beautiful and strong and I can't believe that she will soon be 2. You are an amazing mama. However you decide to continue to blog I will be there to read it if I can. :)
